Our Sediment filters, made of fine melted polypropylene blown and spun in a cylinder-like form, are designed to achieve this goal effectively. These filters have a lower density at the surface, with progressively higher density toward the center, enabling the capture of particles throughout the entire filter depth. This translates to a longer life and allows better performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC filters.

The Sediment filters are designed to fit most standard size 4.5 x 20" filter housings and are highly effective for both residential and commercial water purification, suitable for city/municipal or well water. They are capable of removing sediment particles such as silt, sand, rust, dirt, and other undissolved particles up to microns.

With a flow rate of 5-15 GPM (depending on feed water pressure) and a maximum pressure of 80 psi (suggested work pressure under 50 psi), these filters operate within a temperature range of 40-110°F/5-45°C. The average lifetime of these filters is approximately 6 months, depending on your water quality.
