Shop / bluonics ultraviolet light uv water sterilizer
The ultraviolet (UV) treatment process is an extremely quick physical process that mutates and/or degrades DNA. When the DNA is damaged, the organism becomes unable to function because its "instructions" are garbled or missing. As a result, the organism that has no instructions cannot function and reproduce, and cannot cause infection, rendering it harmless and eventually leading to its death.
In the UV disinfection process, water is purified as it runs through a stainless steel chamber (also called a "reactor") that contains a special UV-producing lamp. As the water flows past the lamp, the microbes in the water receive a lethal dose of UV.
The HQUA UV Water Purifier is a water treatment device that needs to be assembled, but it's easy to finish. Each part of it has its own function, which we will introduce here:
Main Components of the HQUA UV Water Sterilizer:
UV Reactor Chamber (Part Number: OWS-12C-02): The UV chamber is made of 304 stainless steel, which is widely used in the food industry and medical field, and is considered to be stable and durable. It has a length of 37.2 inches, a diameter of 2.5 inches, and a 1-inch inlet/outlet, with no requirement for the water flow direction.
UV Lamp & Quartz Sleeve (Quartz Sleeve Part Number: HQUA-OWS-12Q, UV Lamp Part Number: HQUA-OWS-12L, GPH925T5L standard 4-pin): The quartz sleeve not only provides an interspace for the UV lamp, but also ensures a high transmittance (90%) for the UV light. The UV lamp provides enough UV light to destroy the DNA of microbes and bacteria.
Electronic Ballast (Part Number: HQUA-OWS-455EB): The electronic ballast connects the UV lamp and the power (120V/60Hz), acting as a controller in the system with a 3.2-foot (100cm) power cord and a 3-foot (90cm) lamp cord. A green light indicates that everything is working correctly, while a red light and a beep indicate a system failure.
Maintenance: - UV Lamp: Replace the UV lamp annually (or biennially if seasonal home use) to ensure maximum disinfection. - Quartz Sleeve: Clean the quartz sleeve every 6-12 months, and replace it every 24 months. The coating on the quartz sleeve will slowly form due to the minerals in the water, and this coating must be removed as it reduces the amount of UV light reaching the water, thereby reducing disinfection performance.
The HQUA UV Water Purifier is available in several models, including the HQUA-OWS-12, HQUA-OWS-121, HQUA-OWS-6, HQUA-TWS-12, and HQUA-OWS-12T, with varying flow rates, wattages, and other specifications.
